ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

These Will Be Yours Someday is a series of collages based on the final handmade quilts of the artist’s grandmother. Incorporating hand marbled paper, prints and recycled drawings these works are a process of grief and reflection of heritage.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Cayla Lockwood is an artist and graphic designer based in Philadelphia. She has an MFA in Printmaking from Syracuse University. Her practice includes collage, bookmaking, and video. From 2017–2021 she was an artist in residence at Flux Factory in New York City, where she worked on a number of collaborative projects in NYC, Denmark, Finland and Ukraine. She is currently an artist member at Vox Populi, a graphic designer for the University of Pennsylvania and organizes workshops in printmaking and paper arts.
