ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

“I arrived at the base idea for this installation after watching the low budget Gregg Araki film Nowhere and smoking pot with a friend one night. We wanted to continue talking so I suggested watching the movie with the sound turned off. The thing that struck me at this time was that Araki was reusing the same set with different props and decoration for most of the scenes. Therefore, the sound stage became a sort of blank canvas where things happened.”
