Exhibition Opening: Rough Man’s Playground

Join us for the opening of Rough Man’s Playground, an interactive exhibition-playspace which invites visitors to dream new masculinities for collectively attuned futures. 

In Rough Man’s Playground, Lockman-Fine and Donovan beckon viewers towards revisiting childhood fantasy through collaborative fabric collage; storm through teenage identity exploration with mirrored self-reflection; and share intimacy and impulse via denim-tethered interreliance. With interactive installations webbing game play, movement exercise, costume and video, this dreamscaped playground suspends viewers in a world where a million masculinities dance, kiss, trip, falter, rest, and tease one another, forming integrated selves which slink beyond the exhibition’s walls.

On August 9th, join the artists for an evening of drinks, snacks and interactive play with the exhibition.
